Fresh Perspectives

The end of winter always brings an itch for a fresh new look in almost all aspects of life. I feel over all things winter. No more warm soups, snuggling up with wool blankets, calm jazz music, re-watching movies, spiked hot cider , falling asleep early and waking up when it's still dark, and no more neutrals.

I want yellows and bright greens, spring dresses, music you can't help but get up and dance, crisp salads and while I'm at it crisp white wines, working in the garden until the sun goes down, hot weekend hikes, and needing to catch up on sleep since I'm getting up early and staying up late.

It's nice to live in California where a lemon tree brings lots of little birds to right outside my bedroom window. You may not be able to be woken up by birds in your lemon tree that is heavy with fruit but you can channel this. A big bowl of lemons is beautiful, smells wonderful and brings a little freshness to your life.[gallery columns="4"]
